The End is Near!

This is what I usually look/feel like at this point in the semester! But this semester seems to be a little calmer. Before finals I only have one paper and on presentation to do (in two weeks) and then it's just studying for my exams. Which is a huge relief. I guess that starting early on my papers and presentations this year has payed off. While all of my friends are cramming and having to spend all hours in the library, I can do a bit of work and then bake or read a book or watch  movie. It's such a wonderful feeling.

Although this semester has been a little easier than most semester I'll be glad for Christmas Break and the chance to spend my whole days drinking hot chocolate and backing.  I'm only three weeks away!

Magical Weekend

This weekend, my boyfriend and I went back to Brent's Cove with one of our friends from school. It was such an amazing and relaxing weekend. Just what we needed before we headed back into the last few weeks of school.

Dare to Dream.

Last week, I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting a boxing legend, Rubin "Hurricane" Carter.

Dr. Carter gave an amazing motivational speech about the power of believing in your dreams and the power of living your life.

Hurricane Carter was wrongly convicted of three counts of racial murders in the 60's and spent 22 years in jail for a crime that he did not commit. It is only with hope and dedication that Dr. Carter is a free man today. His speech was so inspirational, many in the audience were in tears by the time he finished speaking, myself included. It was such a wonderful experience to be able to meet an talk to Dr. Carter, that I will always remember.
